Cuff Why Exercise For Rotator Cuff Is Important. The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons used to stabilize the glenohumeral joint and support shoulder movements. The muscles cooperate as a unit to maintain the stability and mobility of such joints. However, the rotator muscles need strengthening to prevent the development of localized shoulder injuries that can result due to continued movement of such joints. This can be done through scheduling an exercise for rotator cuff.

Injuries within these muscles can weaken and reduce the mobility of shoulder joints. Since these muscles play a great role in the performance of the entire body, such problems can hinder your ability to do various activities. If you want to make your muscles mobile and stable, you would have to take frequent shoulder exercises.

The glenohumeral joint in the shoulders need frequent stabilization to improve the performance of the shoulders. The stabilization work is usually done by the infraspinatus, subscapularies, supraspinatis and teres minor muscles. Therefore, when these muscles are not effective, the stabilization work may not be handled efficiently; hence, the need to strengthen such muscles through taking shoulder exercises.
